Stretching and Molding

Stretching and Molding

So I know it has been some time since I last posted something but it’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. I have been working hard on baseball and school so my free time is close to nothing and the little free time that I do have has been dedicated to sleep. But I am going to take a break right now and share the things that I have learned from all my craziness.

The first thing that I have learned is that going though a challenging situation can grow you if you are willing to take it head on. I am someone who likes to be comfortable and I tend to stay away from confrontation and unpleasant situations. Just ask my Mom, when I was younger I would hate the scenes in movies where someone was getting in trouble. Over the last few weeks there have been several times where I was put in a unpleasant situations over and over again and my first response was get out as fast as I could. But I knew that God had put me there for a reason, so I have trusted Him to stick it out. If you think about it, if you look back on the people that have impacted our world and all that they were put though, if they had walked away because they were “uncomfortable,” where would we be today? Consider George Washington at Valley Forge, Martian Luther and his 95 thesis, and the ultimate Jesus at the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was about to be in a place were He knew He would be the most “uncomfortable” He had ever been, separated from His father.

There are times that I need to step up and face the challenge so that I can be a better person though it. With this stretching and molding God can use me to be a light in the dark world. I want to encourage you that whatever you are going through, hard or not, if you have the mindset that through this you will come out a stronger person, and the grace of God can get me through, then keep going. Fight the good fight and run the race.
